The blue vase with the «alarm» name Caution is an example of contemporary interpretation of the form of the ancient Greek amphora. Warning signs on one side, on the other side – a clear human-like silhouette in a yellow-black stripe reminiscent of a guard tape.
ABOUT ARTIST Diana Kulyk is an Ukrainian ceramics artist. She began working in ceramics in 2017. In 2019 her series The Natural Revolution, which was inspired by the events of May 1968 in Paris, was shown as part of the Paris Design Week. Kulyk's work is about reimagining the environment the artist live in. She's playing with the meaning of street signs and intentionally ignoring the "perfect" shape. All of her artwork is handmade.
